Shanna McCullough

Shanna McCullough, born Marcia Elaine Gray on April 1, 1960, in San Francisco, California, grew up in a Christian family of English, French, German, Irish, and Swiss descent.

Involved in her school’s theater group, she performed in dramas and musicals, later earning a degree in accounting.

Before entering the adult industry, she worked as an electrician for two years and as a veterinary technician, per Wikipedia.

In her early 20s, she and her first husband embraced the swinging scene, and she owned a pet boa constrictor named Monty, which appeared in her debut film Deviations (1983) with Mike Horner, per Boobpedia.

Responding to a San Francisco newspaper ad, she entered the adult film industry in May 1983 at age 23, choosing the stage name Shanna after a romance novel heroine and McCullough for its similarity to her grandmother’s last name, pronounced “-low” not “-off,” per The Rialto Report.

She appeared in over 300 films from 1983 to 2010, working with studios like VCA, Wicked Pictures, and Vivid.

Notable films include Looker (1998, AVN Best Actress winner), Hands Off (1987), and Double Feature (1989), with her performances, including anal and lesbian scenes with Hyapatia Lee, praised for their enthusiasm, per IMDb.

McCullough collaborated with performers like Nina Hartley, with whom she remains close friends, Seka, Veronica Hart, and Dave Cummings, who called her one of his favorite co-stars, per Wikipedia.
