Deidre Holland

Deidre Holland, born Martine Helene Smit on February 27, 1966, in Amersfoort, Utrecht, Netherlands, grew up in a middle-class Dutch family. At age 12, her family relocated to Australia, where she began modeling as a teenager, starting with fashion and later nude photo shoots in her early 20s. Her early work in Australia’s emerging adult film scene, often alongside American male performers, marked her entry into the industry. She moved to the United States in the late 1980s to pursue a professional adult film career. Holland debuted in the adult industry in 1989 at age 23, quickly gaining recognition for her striking beauty and natural on-screen presence. Known for her blonde hair, blue eyes, and slender 5’4”, 110-pound frame with 34C-24-34 measurements, she appeared in over 100 films. She worked with studios like Vivid Entertainment, where she was a contract performer, as well as VCA and Legend. Notable films include Chameleons: Not The Sequel (1992), The Other Woman (1992, as Martine Anuszek), Diedre in Danger (1990), and Masterpiece (1990). Her performances were praised for their confidence and authenticity, excelling in both heterosexual and lesbian scenes, often with a sensual yet intense demeanor. She collaborated with stars like Jon Dough, Ashlyn Gere, Rocco Siffredi, Nikki Dial, and Nina Hartley. She shocked many by leaving her Vivid contract in 1992. Her decision to star in VCA’s Chameleons proved pivotal, cementing her superstar status outside of Vivid.
